THE JETSAM
'The Jetsam' told the story of romance blossoming from a conspiracy theory chatroom. It took a metaphor between the murky depths of the internet and the oceans to explore our online journeys and encounters. In order to defeat the giant worm that travels through our broadband connections, the protagonists had to learn to become real-life buccaneers. 'The Jetsam' was devised by Pablo Navarro-MacLochlainn, Kate O'Connor and Louise Simpson. Sophia Broido, Gabriella Brent and Edward Rice joined the ensemble. The original live score was composed and performed by James Keay and a steel-frame, glow-in-the-dark set was designed and built by Alice Edgerley. It was performed at Camden People's Theatre for Sprint 2010. |
